I was reading an interview with Harold Ramis the other day. He was talking about his movie “Groundhog Day”. I’m sure you’ve seen it. I was blown away by something that he said. The one question that he’s always asked is how many day’s does Bill Murray’s character repeat over the course of the movie. He’s amazed that people volunteer numbers like 10 days, 100 days, or 1000 days because the actual answer is 10+ years.
That’s how long it takes for a normal human being to become accomplished at any subject. Now I’m not saying that it will take you ten years of constant study to become a working Voice Actor, but it will take a disciplined commitment to a course of study to achieve it.
